It’s time to celebrate summer and your long-awaited return to salons, with the latest collection from ghd. Created in collaboration with session stylist Chris Southern, the Summer Collection ’21 is a love letter to the music industry and features inspiration from strong female icons of the 90s and early 00s. Talk to your hairdresser about these new ideas and techniques to give your hair some sizzling summer style.

Inspired by Zendaya, the bound braid is a modern twist on the romantic low pony by adding accessories, fabric or a braid to a simple pony.
This look uses the ghd platinum+ to create texture and a leather ribbon to add contrasting textural interest.

Inspired by the queens of the high pony – Kim K, Ariana & Madonna – a super luxe and high shine pony pressed to perfection and snatching back the years.
This super-sleek ponytail is all about height and length, finished with the ghd platinum+ for flawless flicks.

Summer luxe for me is Cher and Naomi Campbell with a 90s R&B twist – watch out TLC the icons are coming…
Super glossy lengths achieved with ghd max and ghd straight on, with face-framing twisted details, this look allows for personalisation with hair accessories – keep it simple or pile them on.

Now this look is pure iconic – we are talking Grace Jones realness inspired by strong androgynous females.
Created with ghd body goals and the ghd helios comb attachment for control and shape, this look features two ponytails twisted together for a modern updo with a fresh silhouette.

This was my take on the 60s hair flip, which is a huge trend seen all over the music industry – Anne-Marie recently rocked the A-FLICKTED just after we shot this collection.
These supersize flicks are crafted with the ghd platinum+ and ghd bodyguard to create a retro-inspired shape with a modern feel.

Pure hair goals – the quiff from the 80s perm mashed with modern high shine texture, this is a firm favourite look that is loved by everyone from Cheryl Cole to Jesy Nelson.
This look takes beach waves up a notch with a glam faux-blow, achieved with the ghd max styler – perfect for thick, long hair.
