Katie Hale, Head Colourist at Charles Worthington causes a ripple with colour.

The Ripple is a must-have technique to help softly brighten up any hair colour without being left with heavy chunks of colour on the ends. A series of small sections are taken from the top layer of the hair and the colour is applied lightly to the surface of hair.

The hair is not saturated in colour, like balayage, but only the top area is lightened which creates a surface colour. Like small ripples of colour on the hair. This can be used on any colour and as bold or as soft as you like.
